A swell smelling shopping cart
Congratulations to Kate’s Magik on their website launch! Kate’s Magik is a local Tucson company that specializes in creating essential oil blends. They combine natural aromas to combat things like addiction, angry, stress, etc. Anchor Wave moved their old website design to a more stable e-commerce platform, optimized for search engines, and added some modern touches. To see more recent websites we have built view our portfolio or our client news.

Show your happy customers on the homepage
We have discussed the importance of testimonials and how they can be used as a sale point for “on edge” customers. The old Kate’s Magik had a ton of positive reviews, but they were hidden on a third level page that customers were unlikely to find. We decided to create a slider for the home page that would highlight the top 6 testimonials, this allows users to find reviews quickly and also adds another fun object to the home page.
Build a following
Get ready for the social factor. With everyone in social media these days web businesses cannot afford to not have a presence. We coached the team at Kate’s Magik in the “dos and don’ts” of social media and then integrated some nice wood grain social media buttons to the sidebar on the homepage. Social media buttons are often times a distraction with their recognizable branding and bright colors, be sure to find or design for your brand when integrating social media.
Give the customers an alternative to buying online
Even with the huge increase in web based shopping, many people still rely on more traditional methods, like going to a store. We created a store locator for these users, it connects with the Google Maps API to produce a map that links to Google to find directions easily.
