Email Marketing Vs. Direct Mail Marketing
Email marketing is often viewed as an electronic version of direct mail marketing. This couldn’t be further from the truth. In the world of direct mail marketing, it’s common to have a client say, “I need a list of 5000 addresses in the 85711 zip code for people making greater than $50K per year and have a pool in their back yard.” Real-address databases exist for these types of requests, but they do not (legally) exist for email.
We help our clients build their email database with existing customers because people who want to receive your email communications are more likely to do business with you and recommend you to friends. Contributing to email spam is a costly mistake. Our article on What you need to know about permission is a great start.
